Privacy Policy

DiskiOdds is operated from South Africa and complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA, Act 4 of 2013). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights as a data subject.

1. What we collect

  • Strictly necessary cookies: a session-equivalent cookie holding your POPIA consent choice (diski_consent) and any Cloudflare security cookies used to keep the site online.
  • Analytics cookies (opt-in only): aggregated, non-personal usage data — which pages are popular, broad location (province-level), device type. We do not profile individual users.
  • Affiliate attribution cookies (opt-in only): when you click through to a sportsbook via our /go/ redirect, an attribution sub-ID is appended to the outbound URL so the bookmaker can credit us if you sign up. The sub-ID is anonymous; it does not contain your name, email or any direct identifier.
  • Server logs: request URL, country (from the Cloudflare cf-ipcountry header), region and User-Agent are stored for ~30 days to debug + measure click-through attribution. IP addresses are not stored.

2. POPIA consent

On your first visit you’ll see a cookie banner asking for consent to set analytics + affiliate cookies. “Essential only” blocks both. Your choice is stored in the diski_consent cookie for 12 months. To change it, clear that cookie and reload — the banner reappears.

3. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Aggregated, anonymous click counts are shared with the sportsbook operators we partner with so they can attribute revenue back to us. No personally identifying information is included.

4. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of any personal information we hold about you. Email privacy@diskiodds.co.za with the request and we’ll respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

5. Children

DiskiOdds is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18. If you believe a minor has interacted with the site, email us and we’ll delete any associated records immediately.

6. Changes

We’ll update this page when our practices change and bump the “last updated” date above. Substantive changes will be flagged on the home page for a week.
